Hi! Welcome to My Home on the Internet...
Mr. Nikhil Nath is a graduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the Department of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh. His academic and research interests focus on Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Mass spectrometry and Drug Discovery. Mr. Nath is particularly intrigued by the potential use of mass spectrometry-based techniques to characterize various biological systems and the application of different analytical methods in chemistry.
Mr. Nath gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at the Red-Green Research Centre in Bangladesh. There, he contributed to projects that involved advanced molecular dynamics simulations, mass spectrometry analysis, and crucial data analysis. His work on these projects significantly enhanced his proficiency in Python, R, and bioinformatics scripting related to drug discovery.
Mr. Nath has published nine scientific peer-reviewed articles in various journals, including Elsevier, Hindawi, and Springer.
While at the Red-Green Research Centre, Mr. Nath frequently introduced new techniques to address project challenges. These included MMPBSA binding free energy calculations, conversions of force fields (Amber, Charmm, Opls, Gromos) in DESMOND and GROMACS, non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations for viscosity calculations across different temperatures, mobile proton simulations using a trajectory stitching approach to replicate mass spectrometry gas phase scenarios, static proton simulations, and resolving restarting issues in DESMOND for long-duration simulations, as well as calculating self-diffusion coefficients. Furthermore, Mr. Nath shared these techniques with other researchers in the lab.
